I am new to this whole writer's group thing. I just posted my first story today and was looking to receive some critiques on it. It is a science fiction piece.

Thanks in advance. I am just trying to learn and get better. I am really new to all of this. I am focusing on short stories and who knows, one day I might take a crack at some self-publishing.
