WHAT IS THE STREAM ?

Some time back I established a small group,
THE STREAM, in this group I hoped to encourage
people, especialy beginning writers to not worry
about small things while they are writing, just write
what you are thinking and feeling.
Following is a quotation by Anthony Bailey--- on
Jan Vermeer (1632-1675)
"Only amateurs worry about perfection".
Mr. Bailey goes on to say, " In he arts a gaudy excess
is usually a sign of genius. Bach does`nt compose
just one cantata, he composes dozens of them.
Balzac turns out sixty or seventy novels and long ones
at that. Picasso could almost certainly fill the National
Gallery--and the Met as well-- with just his own work.
Such fecundity results from a kind of inner exuberance, the ceaseless overflow and shaping of
personal energy characteristic of the artistic
temperament at its most glorious. Shakespeare never
blotted a line, because he was already scribbling the
next one. Haydn didn`t agonize over which notes should come next in a symphony or a string quartet:
whatever occurred to him was bound to be just fine.
Only amateurs worry about perfection."
--- A quotation from Anthony Bailey
from Jan Vermeer.

My problem is not grammer and such but it s the translation for english language has limits to expressing feelings and then the stories I have from my elders seem to lack feeling. I love a challenge. Thanks for invitng me to this group. I do not know anything but I have gone through life with a open mind and open heart.

Just do it ! You are in the stream. To kill a mockingbird or Oh Suzanna it all is part ' of the stream.  What you and I do here is part of the stream.  It`s real . Just give it a try.  No more stopping to cry, just bake an apple pie--you`ll see. From you to me 'Love ya
