Moving to Montana
Moving to Montana18 Years AgoI am moving to Montana with my husband and son on October 4. We lived there back in 1997 and I wish we had never left. I miss the mountains and breathing in the clear pine air. The people were a lot nicer too. Here in North Dakota, the people like to butt into your affairs like they have a right too. And nobody here can keep their mouths shut. They gossip as if they have nothing better to do with their lives. The kids here in North Dakota are one of the meanest bunch of kids here. My son has never had so trouble making friends as he has here in North Dakota. They tease him, pick on him, and the teachers all tell my son to stop acting like a baby. The staff at the hospital where I work as a CNA in long term care are one of the worst bunch of peope to work with. They manipulate me into getting me to do the work that they don't want to do. They make the excuse that they can't go in that room because of issues with the resident. I also suspect that the DON gave me a bad reference, which stopped me from moving elsewhere this last summer. I don't know where they get off giving me a bad reference when I've worked my butt off for them. I got back at them; I'm not giving a notice when I quit this Saturday. Let's just say that the only thing I'm going to miss here in North Dakota is the residents at the hospital.

[no subject]18 Years AgoIm glad to hear you're moving back to somewhere that you'll be happier. There really is a difference sometimes. Here in nebraska, people are exceptionally helpful and friendly, whereas some other states I've visited people weren't as nice.

[no subject]18 Years AgoI agree! For years I put up with the rude, nosy people of Illinois until I finally convinced my hubby to move up here to my homeland - the backwoods of Michigan's Upper peninsula where the living is at a slower pace and the people much nicer! We live just outside a small tourist town - they are nosy, but not so bad that you can't live your life as you see fit :-)
Good deal - the move! You'll be happier for it and so will your family. :-) |

[no subject]18 Years AgoOK - I'll rephrase that in case anyone here is from Illinois haha - most of the people I lived near were rude and nosy - :-)
