a triolet (ABaAabAB) and a question

[Wantonly stolen from A.E. Stallings]

Why should the Devil get all the good tunes,

The booze and the neon and Saturday night,

The swaying in darkness, the lovers like spoons?

Why should the Devil get all the good tunes,

Does he hum them to while away sad afternoons

And the long, lonesome Sundays? Or sing them for spite?

Why should the Devil get all the good tunes,

The booze and the neon and Saturday night?

Seems like a legitimate question. Actually a lot of questions, but one I'm interested in.

Why does the practice of religion have to deny the pleasures of the flesh?

Surly and Old

PS:

Also, why the hell hasn't anybody reviewed any of my stuff? Is it that bleedin' bad?

Dear Surly and Old,

Well, I dont know about the religion question, but I do know it can be hard to get reviews. I will try and review some of your work---I really haven't been on here as much to review..I still owe alot of friends reviews...sorry everyone!

The "PS" question was general, not personal. It also belongs in other forums.

In the quid pro quo of life, we often learn more from performing the pro quo than from posting the quid.

*sigh* such a deep question Surly. One that I do not know the answer to...

As for the other...don't know that one either. Of course, I've not been feeling up to doing reviews - or writing for that matter. I have so many to catch up on, I doubt I ever will be caught up!
