Lonely Writers Blog Group Forum Auto Buying Advice

Alright fellow lonely bloggers:

After being accused of nearly wrecking my "husband's" car, we have decided to buy a car for me. This whole ordeal has inspired me to write a piece! Woo!

Anyway, we're hopefully going to buy a car this weekend. I would prefer an 07 VW GTi 4-door in black with cloth seats, or a Mini Cooper. But I still need to test drive, etc.

We're planning on financing through our credit union, so dealing with the salesman on that end won't be necessary.

What I'm asking is:

Advice for auto buying?

Horror stories? Humorous stories?

My only auto advice is if you can, buy brand new, not used. Also, buy American. I love Chevy's. They've always been incredibly reliable, although right now Im wanting to go get a Liberty...they are sooooo cute!
