What does the "feature" button do?

Newbie, having joined a few days ago. Clicked on the "Feature" button in "Manage Writing" and nothing seemed to happen. Anyone know, or can anyone direct me to the site "Help/FAQ" section that might explain it? Thanks!

I believe it shows the story you featured at the top of your writing list on your profile
