The Versenators Forum Challenge #8 - post your chara..

For Versenator Challenge #8, we have a two-step project. The first is to create a character and to describe his/her/its traits. Post your character on the group forum by Monday.

The second step is, after Monday, to take all of the posted characters and write a poem or story surrounding them.



2shy Belle

Simeon: He is the tallest man you would ever meet, obsessive, neurotic, and speaks many malapropisms (ludicrous misuse of words, esp. through confusion caused by resemblance in sound). He twitches his eyes whenever he interacts with people. He is causal and na�ve to a major extent. He is 29 years old.

Anita Mannow � 32-year-old, unmarried woman, homely since childhood and very self-conscious. She joins on-line forums and posts avatars of well-endowed models, claiming that they are her, solely for the purpose of tempting men to talk to her. In real life, she stutters, works as a toll-booth operator, and lives in a one-room efficiency apartment with her cat, Sable.

Fatima Ramirez - Fatima immigrated to the U.S. from Tijuana, Mexico in search of Fez from That 70's Show, AKA Wilmer Valderrama. Fatima is 25, often confuses television for reality and believes Fez is meant only for her and means to find her way to Wisconsin to confess her love. Her problem? She assumes the alias 'Penelope Cruz', she's illegal, and her bubbly nature and innocent smile unwittingly bungles every step the border patrol takes to deterr her mission to find the man of her dreams. Her most dangerous trait: perfect English.

Edward Vendon: A short fat man, in his late 30's, believes that the government has unleased a pack of rabid rabbits with the Bubonic Plague in secrecy. His theory is that these rabbits died and animals ate it. Afraid that he is going to get the plague, and he has pocket full of posies which he occasionally takes out and sniffs to make sure that he is always breathing clean air. He keeps his tidy black hair clean, and thinks that every small pain inside of his body is a heart attack. No matter where it is.

Michael Welsh -- Hi. I'm Michael. Please don't call me "Mike", 'cause I f*****g hate that. I'm 17, blonde, blue-eyed. I'll just say it. I'm kinda hot looking.

Last year at school, they made us watch this movie called "Scared Straight". It was supposed to scare kids from going to prison. Problem for me is that they said hot kids like me get passed around by the other prisoners. You know. For like sex and s**t.

So last summer, I robbed a liquor store and now I'm the happiest prison b***h you ever want to see.

Tiberius Noseflange -- a shy retiring transvestite of 50 with alapecia who collects pez dispensers. During the day time he works as a shoe salesman which feeds his foot fetish-- a thing he also fuels with his second job working at a bowlng alley where he dispenses and looks after shoes. his hero is imelda marcos. imelda is his drag queen name. he daily plans how to kill his shrewish ex-wife and how to win back his estranged son. he is brown haired, oily-skinned, myopic, and has a body odour problem. his only friend is a blow-up doll modelled on Bill Clinton.

Fern Murhpy is a 40 year old female who lives alone with her 3 cats, Waldo, Kent, and Tabbs. She has never been in a relationship. She is afraid of affection. She isolates herself from the world and don't let anyone but her cats in her circle. She has OCD and is bipolar. She is quiet. She cleans endlessly. She loves schedules and hate surprises. She dresses plainly and has not cut her hair, which she wears in a tight bun, since she was 6 years old. She is frumpy and pale due to a lack of sunlight, with chestnut colored hair and sea green eyes that look like marbles...pretty but lifeless. She reads alot, including the dictionary and yellow pages. She is intelligent and well speoken, if she speaks. Lately she has been feeling anxious as if something is going to happen, but she don't know what.

First off this such a great idea for a challenge

Erin Summers-- A 26 year old woman who is very straight arrow. She always does the right thing and is very reserve. She worries very much what people think of her. She works as a librarian in the Children's section. People barely notice her except for her fiery red curly hair. The one hitch she has is that she suffers from multi-personality disorder. She has at least three other personalities that can be identified to date. They seem to be the urges that Erin suppresses, at least that is what her psychiatrist says. Her psychiatrist is the only one that is aware of her disorder.
1. Diamond: Think smoldering hot temptress. Wears provocative clothing, flirts excessively, and always ends up in bed with any man she chooses. Generally goes away before waking up leaving Erin wondering how she got there.
2. Jo: This is her tomboy personality. She's rude, crude, and very unladylike.
3. Amelia: Her most dangerous personality to date. Usually Erin comes back in to play covered in blood and an enemy or someone she despises is dead. Amelia is a personality that Erin has not shared with anyone.

Ashleigh Freeman: She's 17 and any guy you asked would say she is drop dead gorgeous with her perfect blonde locks and her scarlet blue eyes. She's anerexic, but that doesn't stop her from working everyday at her job, a supermodel. She jumps from guy to guy, never setling down. Her future goals are to be in a movie, to own a clothing store and have her own perfume. She is constantly surrounded by press, and is seemingly happy, but really she is depressed and secretly writes poetry about death, which she would never show anyone.

Stella is a 52 year old blind woman with the ability to see into the hearts of all she meets. Her hearing, and sense of smell are keen and she can "see" sounds and smells in her head. She is able to feel colors with her fingers and therefore paints beautiful abstracts and occassionally even portraits that are "disturbingly" accurate ...disturbing to some that call her a "witch", but she is a lovely woman and well liked by most everyone. Stella is a kind and generous "rich" woman...but you would never know of her wealth by looking at her.

thern severn, last of the severn family, who is dying wife & childless in the town his family forged 160 years ago. his only immediate relative is his brother hargan, who refuses to acknowledge his family name due to mysterious circumstances in his past. thern fades in and out of reality, exposing parts of his life as people come and go past his chair on the stoop of the Morton Taber Rest Home. Thern is 57 years old.

Reed - selfish. pianist. divided. naive. vision blurred. scared. loving.

John Delaney.. 26 year old disabled man who not being able to face reality has become addicted to phone chatlines for a number of years and revels in his almost celebrity status in this other world, where he never gives anything away about himself, never uses his real voice and tells everyone his name is Dorothy and he's 89 years old. In reality he lives with his mother and is still a virgin, he sleeps all day and comes alive at night to enter his fantasy existence..

she is a pretty interesting girl. at least at first.
you'll get tired of her, she assures you.
always meets strangers and assures them their relationship was fun, but like every other one, will go nowhere. she is mad to be saved. wants passions instilled.

she is quite attractive.
smiles alot
quirky face maker like a little kitten.
sexy. sexual. tempting

and she hates it
just bitten in the face by a dog. and she likes her bloody punctured flesh.
it makes her look more serious. maybe people will take her more serious.
she takes herself more serious. she just wished no one cvould see these possible scars.
but now that she has them. a little kitten bitten by a beastly dog.
and she is fine with that

rockne is a 45 year old bread delivery man. he has driven a breadtruck for 27 years.
he eats ricecakes all day and hates beer. he takes AM talk radio seriously. when driving his van in the summer heat, he has audio hallucinations, mostly voices complaining about television. in the winter, the steel truck feels like the galley in a ship. the pitching from rolling over half plowed streets, squeaks and groans making him fantasize he is a viking. he has rented a storage unit for several years, which has in it 3 breadrack sized explosive devices on wheels. he occasionally, like today, leaves the bakery with room for 3 breadracks. when he gets angry he mutters "valhalla toast". he looks like tony snow and moves like jerry lewis imitating howie mandel.

Ok I gave this challenge my best shot
