Hi there...
Hi there...14 Years AgoWell... must say as a newbie, this looks like a nice cosy place to introduce myself first. I cover most aspects of writing in one form or another. From flash fiction to novels, small factual pieces and of course poetry.
I have had one short story published in a charity anthology '100 Stories for Queensland' under the name of Laurie Clayton and have just released a collection of poetry 'Encounters' under the name of L.J.Clayton; both are available via the amazon catalogues. I am a member of several writing sites and was a guest poetry editor for the Christmas edition of Writelinkers e-zine 2011. It was quite an experience to be on the other side of the fence for a while, I can tell you! I am an avid reader and reviewer of mainstream and indie books and my reveiws are live on sites such as Amazon, Shelfari, Goodreads and of course my blog, The Accidental Poet. When it comes to my own work, I prefer honest reviews. I love the bouquets but need the brickbats to be constructive so that I can work on the problem and continue to improve. My weaknesses include puntuation and some spelling, and those bloomin' apostrophe's will always get me in trouble at some point, so feel free to highlight them if you feel the need. Ok, I think that's me in a nutshell (albeit a big Nut) As the tag states, I'm new, so feel free to friend me if you like or not as the case may be. Happy writing. Laurie |

Re: Hi there...13 Years AgoHi, Laurie,
I am also new, just joined, which means that are no longer the most new! I actually haven't come to the Writers' Cafe to post, just to meet other writers and chat, which is why I joined this group. Your post looked a little lonely, so I thought I'd say hello to cheer it up. I hope you're having a good writing day.
