New to the Site, New to the Group, New to it ALL

Just wanted to say hello to everyone . . . I'm taking my first stab at writing a novel and thought this would be a great place to get some real feedback from a wide variety of people.  Previously I had sought feedback on sites that were specific to the type of book I am writing (anthropomorphic fantasy, all ages) but feedback such as "make it more like Warrior Cats!" and "that is a very boring short story" (you know the type, the folks that don't take a look to see that it is the first chapter in a BOOK, and doesn't necessarily jump straight into the drama) isn't really feedback.  I need to know more about my writing style, the flow of it, and whether or not I am on the right track to find an audience.  Hopefully working on a site like this will not only help me grow as an author but also by reading and reviewing other people's works, I can do some comparative learning as well.

I am CHATTY.  Please feel free to say hi, I love getting to know folks.

I know it has most definitely helped me; I've been getting some seriously helpful feedback that has done wonders for pushing me forward, and also has already greatly improved some aspects of my stories.  I LOVE it here!

I'm on wattpad as well, but find it overrun with 'stuff'.  Lots of activity, but trying to be part of it takes up a lot of time - and time spent doing that is time not writing.  To balance that, I am also part of a FB group that publishes on WP.  But again, fair amount of time not focused on writing.

Anyone looked at the courses or resources here yet?

GRAAAAARGH LIKE MINDED PEOPLE!!!! I never thought it possible. 
I have been around here a little while now, so if I can help some of you newer people I'd love to. That said, I am still having a little trouble breaking into the active circle of this site and have also been without writing motivation for a couple of weeks :( I am trying to re-start my engine!

I just joined today and look forward to meeting many new friends and fellow writers.  I have completed 2 full novels (one as part of NaNoWriMo and Book 1 in my current trilogy) and I cam currently working on my third (Book 2 of my trilogy).  I will be posting the first 5 chapters of Book 1 and will continue to post if there in interest in the story.  Thanks so much in advance!
