Come and introduced yourselves! 

Okay... I'd say I'm new... :)  I'm Larson, I used to be a professional stand-up comedian (I used the name Norm West - privacy is important after all), however over time the novelty of that wore off and the reality set it.  Now I find that while I stil enjoy writing, the things coming out tend to be less humorous and more serious... hence why I decided to check this place out, seemed like the best place to work on my more serious writing skills... Never fear, there will still be humor, probably a darker humor, but humor nonetheless.

 

I also maintain a MySpace blog at: (I have no clue if linking off site is cool here, so if not, please remove the following) Larson Minnow's Blog. Mostly that is filled with short writings, more on the humorous side, or just general observations, humorous quips... the stuff a good blog should be filled with...

 

Anyway, that's the REALLY short version of me... I'm glad to read anything anyone wants to send my way, and I'll gladly help whenever I can...

I'm new to the group too, and looking forward to meeting and working with everyone, and reading your work!  Most pertinent details are on my profile, so I'll just add here that I'm currently working on a poetry chapbook and the sequel to my novel.  Right now I'm trying to decide whether to submit the chapbook for publication and/or contests or publish it myself.  The sequel is coming slowly but surely, and some chapters are posted here on the Cafe.

Hi, I'm Romana (If you are an old school Dr. Who fan, seriously, that's my name).  I've been writing since I was 13 (which makes 10 years now), and work in an actual coffee house.  I published my first book last year called Lydia's Family through iuniverse.  I can't wait to read everyone's stuff.

I'm new here and thought I'd come introduce myself. I'm Kathryn, a newlywed. My husband and I got married on December 14, 2007 and I'm happier than I've ever been!!!! The name's Shay, but I am perfectly comfortable going by my pseudonym so call me whatever you like.  Basically, I joined this group so that I could do some more reviewing because my free verse contest was getting a little slow and I don't like being an inconsistent participant here.  I am big on poetry so if you want me to read anything, and I mean anything, send it my way.  As far as short stories and articles and other things of that nature are concerned, I'll still read them but I'll put them off until the poetry is done because I prefer poetry.  Why?  Because it is what I am best at.  But I'll still read just about anything.  Oh, and if any of you feel like butchering The Demon Eye, one of two of my horrible attempts at writing a short story I would appreciate it!  Thanks a lot!

Good morning fellow lovers of coffee and writing.  I'm new to this group, but not to the WC. I have written a few things for friends of mine, but a friend's passing made me get off of my lazy a*s and start writing some stuff using my own name.

Thanks for the recommendation!  I've seen that about a lot here on the Cafe, and I've done some checking on my own.  What is it that makes you recommend them so highly?  I'd love to know more!

My name is Christian aka High Road , I am new to the group but not new to the world of Writers cafe or to writing. I have been a member of wc Since June of year and I have been writing since February of 2006. I was inspired to write after reading The tell tale heart with my eighth grade literature class and have been writing ever since. So yes to answer your question I am young in fact only sixteen and a sophomore in high school.

  I am exited to be a part of this group and can not wait to participate.

My name is... well you don't need to know that do you? Seriously though, I go by my pen name Isaiah Devereaux. I'm an avid movie-goer, a historian, and a Sunday afternoon-laze about guy. In my writing, I like to throw odd little twists of irony, dark humor, crucify cliches, and create anachronism within the piece.

It really helps to know that I have somewhere that I may unearth all my writing, and actually have an intelligent remark about it (I swear a part of me dies anytime someone comments by saying ", That's pretty."). I'd love for some of you to review my work and I'd love even more to review yours. Thanks all.

Wow, I've sat here for five minutes trying to formulate what I want to share here. It is yet another rough time in my life. So I write. This is also the best my life has ever been. So I write. All I know is that this forum feels comfortable to me at a time when I need just that.

Comfort does not mean though that I would not welcome any and all help to develop the craft of turning a word into a phrase.

If I blunder or offend please communicate with me for this would never be my intent. I am just a wee beastie trying to make it through, what are becoming, way too many sleepless nights
