Re: Nightmares12 Years Agowell what did you do if you say what you did and forgive yourself for those things. because i have that problem too so maybe if you said it's okay and it's alright nothing terrible is gonna happen that might lesson the repetition of those night terrors tell me if it works or not if it does oh yeah but if not we'll try something different is that a good plan?

Re: Nightmares12 Years AgoYou're not going insane. You're just on a hard spot in the road. Don't let this nightmare get the better of you. What happened in the past is done and over. Now all you can do is move forward. It ma seem hard, but you'll get through it. :)

Re: Nightmares12 Years AgoMany reasons for nightmares. Stress is the main one. I meditate to find proper sleep and dream. I'm Native American. A dream catcher does help. Keep the bad thoughts away. You are not losing your mind. Sometime we can get overloaded.

Re: Nightmares12 Years AgoTry writing down your dreams, then re-writing them with a happy ending. If you put good thoughts in with the bad thoughts it may help. Also forgive yourself, we can't change the past so just remember that each day is a new one. :)

Re: Nightmares12 Years AgoSounds to me like you're feeling really guilty about bad things you've done. I would suggest thinking of three good things, no matter how small, before you go to sleep just to start with good thoughts. And you should strive to do three good deeds a day, even if it's holding the elevator for someone or doing volunteer work. That way you can get your karma in your head back on track.
Also the past is the past, I'm sure you've heard that enough though, try to forgive yourself because holding onto those bad thoughts is only going to stop you from going forward and doing good things. Best of luck, I know you can get through this :) |

Re: Nightmares12 Years AgoIt's difficult to forgive ourselves sometimes but it's necessary. When I experience similar dreams, I talk it out. Yes, a one on one conversation with myself. Together we always find a way to get beyond these road bumps of life. I'm not making light of your situation; just sharing what works for me. If you are a repeat offender, try to find alternatives to counteract that behavior problem. The fact that you admit your weaknesses proves to me that you are a man of good intentions. Work with those intentions and you will soon discover freedom. I admire your desire to overcome your faults because no one can change without acknowledging them. A journal might be helpful; just keep it under lock an key. Sincerely, Cecil
