Hello, my name is Emily.
I like gummy bears and watermelon ice cream.
I write poetry and the occasional short story, when the mood strikes me.
My life is quite uneventful, so you'll have to pardon the lack of introduction.
It's just that I have little to say about myself.
If you have any desire to learn more about me, read my poetry.
I'm sure you'll find plenty of answers there.

Hopefully, in the near future, I'll spend some time reviewing the writing in this group.
I would have started sooner, but I've found myself quite busy these past few weeks.
I've seen oogles of talent here and I hope to see more.

My name is Dianah. I was born in Glasgow but have lived in London, Liverpool and now Lancaster on the edge of the beautiful Lake District, England.

I love the great outdoors...hill walking and cycling. I am also getting into swimming. I was a bit of a hedonist until illness (and a child to bring up) made me change my lifestyle. I have strong views about the environment and hope an alternative to oil is found soon...but I don't want to start ranting about peak oil !

I studied Sports Therapy at college and am a trained massage therapist. Work is unpredictable so I am looking for something with regular pay. I like to have my fingers in lots of pies so I am not relying on one thing for my income (anyway, I do get bored easily)

I love writing poetry and song lyrics. I am looking forward to joining a drum group in September. At the mo I am a backing singer and djembe player for Mirrorkill, a local band.
Oh yes, I also am an artist and have sold quite a few paintings and prints. I should put some up on my profile.

I enjoy reading other people's work and appreciate reviews from other writers.

I am Clover.  I used to consider myself a writer many years ago.  Since then I have done nothing with my life (other than raise 6 very creative children).  I have this sudden unquenchable need to get back to writing.  An idea for a book came to me suddenly one day, so I have been working on it.  I worry that it might not be that good, since it has been so long since I have done any writing.  I worry I am spending too much time going after a goal I might never reach.   I am here to get encouragment to keep going with my writing.  I feel like I owe it to my charecters.  I know, it sounds pretty pathetic, but that is just me.  I wish there was something more interesting I could write about myself, but my kids and my imagination are all there is to me.

I enjoy reading poetry. I love writing. A devout disciple to Mr. Eliot; I take the craft very seriously. Charles Simic is a favorite contemporary poet.
