What can you see in the world?
What can you see in the world?16 Years AgoPeople ask the question all the time...What do you see? Most people see things different from other and its all in the eye of the beholder, but What this discussion is about is What do you see in the world everyday? How do you picture our society? What changes can we do to make the world a better place?
I would like to know your opinion on how the world is seen different from your eye.

[no subject]16 Years AgoI can see pity and disgust. People nowadays are too worried about their own problems, that if anybody else comes close to them, either they don't help him/her and look at the person with pity, or they just turn their back on him/her and find this person disgusting. That's what I see.
What can we do? Stop thinking about ourselves as superiors to others, that only makes the world worsen. Sichèrnam, Demeter Suhcej |

[no subject]16 Years AgoThis is a very insightful and thought-provoking thread, so thankyou for adding it! Well, as some of my poems are rather cynical about the future, I would like to express a few more optimistic observations here. These days, there is still plenty of beauty to be found in nature, art and other human accomplishments. We should not let the current economic problems, form a barrier between the positive and negative aspects of life! There is always hope, for those of us who try. Plus, even a small success can seem like a fine accomplishment to an individual who has little in life. Overall, we need to see the future as something to be feared. In the world, I see bright future, just so long as we work persistently and consistently towards our objectives. And furthermore, we must avoid seeking objectives which clash in some way, either with our Christian values or Mother Nature. How about the rest of you, my fellow Group members? |

[no subject]16 Years AgoI see chaos, fear and rejection. Humans act randomly, according to each one's own desires. Society need a truth-based system, even if it doesn't really tells the truth, to stay allied as a group, because if something is outside of that system, they might as well break into panic of fear, or into rejection of the unknown. Sadly, I guess there's not much we can do as society, even though one person can make significant change, hardly has a person or group of persons really changed the world. We should find order, consciousness and acceptance, until then, the world will remain the same.

[no subject]16 Years AgoI see a world that has sold its soul for luxury, but also a world that sees only pain and suffering. On one side, we are so obsessed with comfort that we give up our morality and virtue just to take the path of least resistance. Yet, I see an even darker world still on the other side, war and famine, evil and corruption, anger and strife, a place that is far worse than what we have now. This makes me wonder, are my choices this limited? Must I give up my own ideals so that I do not rock the proverbial boat? And if so, what do I get? A world of moral-less people who choose everything for me, from what I learn to who my leaders are. Do I learn about sex at 6 years old or 7? Do I choose radical candidate A or really radical candidate B? And I'm scolded for daring to challenge the status quo while people suffer in third-world countries. How does that affect me? Sure, it's bad and it should be changed but I shouldn't have to see my country, my world, waste away under corruption and moral ambiguity because we're 'better' than the worst! I beg and plead and challenge and rise up, but nothing ever changes. As soon as I get one question answered, as soon as my mind is at ease on one issue, twenty more pop up and suddenly i've made a worse mess than there was before. Multiply this by seven billion, and it's a wonder we have any morale at all. So, what can I see in the world? I see a world spiraling into darkness, but there is hope. There is a small, shining light that cuts through the darkness. The people who challenge and dare to be different or even the same. But this light gets smaller every day, dimmer every moment. It is only a matter of time before it all runs out.
