Want Some Reviews? Forum Review for chapter one

Hello, I am new to the page but I have been writing for roughly 20 years. I started at age 10. This is my first experience with an online writing forum, I would love to hear your thoughts. For now I am titling my book "The Clans" I have not decided if that will be the official title. It is currently 15 pages long so it is still under development. I am excited about where the story line will go as I have always felt the characters come to life and tell me their story.

The direction of this novel is fantasy, set in a small mountain village in modern time. The main character is a 15 year old girl named Sonora who is quickly discovering what a mystery her life is, even to herself. Her parents mysteriously leave her at age 6, and by leave-even Sonora does not know what happened to them. She is discovering large patches of her memory have escaped her, leaving her with many unanswered questions. For the most part her life had been relatively normal. That was until the first day of her sophomore year of high school when she encounters some of the most unusual things taking place.

I have had this idea for many years now but just got inspired to start it yesterday. I have had to put my writing on hold to pursue my college education, I graduated last year and found myself an accomplished but very broken person. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for many years but last year was one of the worst. Because I was in school I was able to occupy my time, purse my degree and I was unaware of the emotional turmoil I had going on inside. I refused to entertain it, I was just too busy to be depressed. Ultimately ignoring my problem/imbalance just made things worse,  I entered into a very severe clinical depression and I continue to fight every day. I have started taking anti depressants and I am finding peace internally, with that I am rediscovering myself and finding fulfillment in the things I used to love. Slowly I am feeling like me again, and the writing is helping so very much!
