I really need help being insig..
I really need help being insightful and adding on10 Years AgoJudge a person by their health When someone says New York what is the first thing you think of? Bright lights big city? The beauty of fashion? Dollar slices of pizza? SHOPPING? Strutting through the glorious parks it has to offer? Rich society? Charming subjects that make you believe big cities like New York are the most beautiful spots in America, when to be quite honest, they are some of the most unsanitary. Travelers who approach a big city naturally build their own perspective based off of their new view of it whether they like it or not, how comfortable they feel, if they like walking everywhere, and one of the biggest things is whether or not they feel safe. Devil Wears Prada, Gossip Girl, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Broadway, and many more TV shows, movies, and performances produce an illusion that New York or Chicago or Paris are these big distinguished worlds that are impeccable. In spite of movies capitalizing on the glitz and glamour they don’t necessarily leave the impurity aspect out, they once again provide an illusion that it’s strictly dark alleys and backstreets that have the most trash among them, everyone has money, and people’s safety isn’t a problem.Ask yourself; Who am I most likely to trust? Someone who looks clean cut, successful and knowledgeable or a homeless soul even covered in dirt and scum probably knows his way around better than anyone? The answer seems simple, easy, the one that looks clean cut and reliable. But why? The reason being is that although our brains judge them automatically by their exterior appearance what about their physical appearance. Are they fit? Are their teeth straight and white? Do they become exhausted by the simple action of walking up the stairs? If you were to ask anyone who has a perspective on everyone to describe someone they know, they will informatively include the way they foresee that person’s personal hygiene. Having bad hygiene portrays absence of self competent. Stemming from a bad odor coming from the body, unsanitary clothing, yellow teeth, or even excessive dirty hair can potentially ruin someone’s view towards you whether they know who you are or not. For some it is difficult to come to terms with the fact that even though everyone has the option to be sanitary and have good personal hygiene but refuse is difficult because somewhere along the line that person didn’t care enough to clean themselves. Anyone who has the prerogative to engage in the workforce and doesn’t is their own delinquency, they are electing to go down the path of the current lifestyle they are living. Believe it or not, some of the homeless people you see walking along streets holding up a sign or sleeping amongst a building for the night have a choice to not be homeless, they are apathetic to taking care of themselves and leading a better life. Illness, people who are perpetually ill disregard their surroundings. Sickness starts when someone is not properly taking care of themselves which is why the idea of being sick to some is unbearable. In spite of people who don’t say anything, when is the presence of someone who is in fact sick the thought that constantly runs through our minds is the protection of ourselves. Emetophobia; a phobia where people are so intensely terrified of getting sick. When the word “sick” is used most people relate it to someone coughing or feeling congested, but that’s not all it. There are about 100,000 different illnesses and diseases in the world and not all of them have to do with a runny nose or sore throat. People can be sick because of obesity, anorexia, insanity, cancers, tumors, anything and although everything on that list is not contagious, all of them can be fatal and that is why people are so scared of sickness. Walk into an airport and lick the poles in the train and the escalator handrails. Germs are everywhere, they’re in you hair, on your hands, scattered everywhere you go, you are a germ. Fifty- one percent of Americans wash their hands after using the bathroom, sneezing, coughing, or even shaking someone’s hand. Imagine shaking another's hand not knowing that they just used the bathroom and didn’t wash their hands, that thought alone has the capability to give you chills running up and down your spine because often the most germs are spread by hands through person to person contact. Germaphobes, people who are obsessed with sanitation after every action they complete. Germaphobes don’t even get an option to judge you by your health, they automatically reject you because the amount of germs you carry and produce which is why most of the time they don’t even go out in public. Can you believe that something a billion times smaller than a human has the power to isolate one, it’s outrageous right, well it actually might be safe. People who disengage with the outside world may be healthier than people who jaunt through society from day-to-day, this being is because they aren’t exposing themselves to pollution, the rays of the sun, germs, filth but then again if also may be very unhealthy internally for the mind. Isolation is cutting yourself off from everything and everyone and doing so it is also incredibly detrimental to one’s mental health. When you don’t have contact with the outside world your mental health starts to become questionable due to the fact that you are twisting yourself throughout your own thoughts. Reasons as to why people isolate themselves is because some fear rejection, the idea of someone not accepting who they are hurts, it diminishes self confidence and the will to try and comprehend with society.
