A very (very) old poem, written over a decade ago after my first real relationship came to an end

Something that may be triggering to those who have suffered sexual abuse.

I recently put my cat down, and, well, I grieve best through written form. Rest easy, mama. I miss you

It's a song. It says it's a poem. But it's a song. The type lies.

Written for the Rhyme It! contest and I'm actually pretty impressed with it since it was written on the spot!

The blue and pink is meant to suggest a male or female singing. An ellipse is meant to suggest a pause in the song.
