If you've never experienced sleep paralysis, I hope you never do. This is how it makes me feel.

Inspired by 'Brother' by Australian singer/songwriter Matt Corby.

I felt a sense of betrayal by an old lover.

Just an overwhelming amount of emotions - positive and negative - which I couldn't explain in conversation.

A friend of mine couldn't sleep one night and asked me to write a poem for them.

About lingering anxiety at the back of my mind, constantly.

I was just going through a hard time and wrote, as usual.

I wrote this during the 100 year memorial of the 1916 Rising in Ireland.
