Too Late For The Last Train Home

Tighter chains is what i desire,

combined with spikes cutting into my flesh every time I move

so as to remind me that I can't reach you...

Can't reach out to you

anymore.

Stop

and take a step back-

Observe this new reality

and numb sensations

masked by false calmness indicating

anger in the backlines of an ocean of emotion.

And a smile is not a hard thing to fake.

Oscar winning actress,

playing the role of someone, not myself,

convincingly enough to fool the masses.

Now raise your glasses

i think,

another drink is in order.

A cocktail of feelings

hiding true ingredients of pain

of rage

and of soulless ambition

to be something more

than this missed opportunity

For Love...
