Same Place Different Reason (or perhaps not...)A Poem by sivanSitting on the chair next to my own is a man it seems Who is at home with the music in this place And by the look on his face " the beer ain’t that bad And he doesn’t look half bad, but who is he? And what would he say, if I asked why he drinks at this time of the day? I bet he has a wife but he doesn’t look the type for kids Perhaps a few dogs and by the way that he tips He has a small fortune he’s afraid to call wealth And by the look of his skin he’s still in good health. I am not one to judge by the choice of his drink after all, I’m on my fifth or so I think; it could be more, but who’s counting? Perhaps the man is doubting whether I can pay; Perhaps he’s wondering why I’M drinking at this time of the day.© 2011 sivanReviews
