Darkness Is As Clear As Daylight

A Geeky Poem

Darkness is as clear as daylight

My parents murdered in front of me
My life crashed to the ground
The murderer tried to end my life
But hurried away by the sirens sound

I became a recluse and started to train
Martial art expert numb to most pain
I’m a rich vigilante a shadow to you
Your worst enemy when my signal in view

Blackened with armour gadgets and cape
Gothem the city I’m beginning to shape
Scarecrows fear me, penguins submerge
Cats lose all nine lives and ivy does purge

Two faced people disagree with my benevolence
Riddled by my actions caused by my bane
Capturing the villains is a joke they are clearly insane

How this city has so many enemies
Freezes my brain
a league of justice created
And needs to remain
Men who are super
woman who are a wonder
They need to be quick as a flash
before Gothem goes under 
Daredevils
risk takers
battlers of crime
I will save this city it is my time

But why so serious? I hear you ask
Because this city needs someone
And I have a mask

only then will we have peace
A robin in view
I am Batman Who are you?

Author's Note

I had to do at least one comic book poem as they are something I enjoy reading and Batman being my favourite vigilante if I am to write one poem on this subject it had to be him

I loved how you included everyone in this! And I LOVED the "Why do serious?" line! I love the Joker so that made me totally happy! I thought this was really creative and I loved all the word play, it was really well done. This was a fun poem but you made it awesome at the same time. Fantastic poem for sure!

I love batman, i never really read the comics even though i did collect some when i was younger. But Because he had something dark about him, I just instantly liked him, the character. I wanted to be batgirl LOL
But your piece is spot on, catches batman brilliantly 'I' am Batman, who are you?' LOVE it!!

I Really like this after all Batman is a fave of mine. Great imagery very well written sorta reminds me of a new TV series Ive been watching called The Cape dont know if you get it over in Great Brittan but I think you'd like it. Its kinda Batmanesque

An awesome poem. I love it! I,m a HUGE Batman fan and you did the comic justice. One thing I'd like to note is to use more punctuations. Its ok if you like not adding them. But by adding them makes the words more descriptive and makes the line sound better. Nevertheless, still a kick-a*s poem! You're very good!
