Us tiny little humans...

Us tiny little humans...

A Poem by Natalie Brettell
"

I wrote this about an hour ago. I found inspiration just looking out my bedroom window.

"

A tiny little daisy, sitting in the grass.

Breathing in the fresh air.

No questions to be asked.

A tiny little baby, who smiles and doesn't complain.

Just sit's and looks around,

Never fail's to be amazed.

A tiny little dog who just want's to run and play.

All it needs is food and water to get through each day.

Us tiny little humans, we play such a small part.

Often we realise, when we look up to the stars.

Us tiny little humans, want to do what we love.

Once we finally find it, it's still not enough.

To feel anothers touch, to hold onto anothers hand.

A feeling unless you'v felt it,

You will never understand.

To feel connected with a body, for some is more than enough.

Us tiny little humans,

All we really need is love.

Author's Note

Natalie Brettell
Another simple poem I wrote not long ago. I wanted to convey how so many things in this world need so little to get by. Humans feel the need for more when all each of us need's at the end of the day and at the end of life, is someone to hold and love us.

How true this "tiny little poem" is...

- I used to look up at the stars and just wonder,
"how the hell did we wind up so conceited..."

we're supposed to serve the purpose of keeping it in order,
not overruling it all...you know...

the whole thing about needing -love- to surrender ourselves to in order to look past what
we take for granted, is a fresh way of putting it.
I like this line here,
""To feel another's touch, to hold onto another's hand.
A feeling unless you've felt it,
You will never understand.""

- that's perfect you know - wording the incapable.

I liked this write - very insightful

I wrote something not long ago where God was talking to a being who wanted to know why He didn't make us smarter so we could answer some of the complex life questions...and God told him, as a child he was given all the wisdom he needed. and all God intended man to have. Your poem/song says it all in a beautifully lyrical way. We lost our wisdom when we gained the ability to analyze. Great piece, Rain..

A very moving piece that speakes of life's simple need to love and be loved. An ongoing quest for many and a waste of time to some. I liked the connection to earth and sky/Love and touch. Well done.
