I Am

This is an English peom I had to write. I received an 80 because it wasn't about me -__- but in all honesty, Fox Mulder is more important than me(:

I Am.

I am Fox Mulder.

I wonder if there is life on Mars.

I hear the Lone Gun Men bickering.

I see the X-Files lying on my desk.

I want to know the truth.

I am Fox Mulder.

I pretend Samantha is still here.

I feel them poking at me.

I reach for Scully, but she's not there.

I worry that my voice will not be heard.

I cry thinking I might not see Scully again.

I am Fox Mulder.

I understand that she might be a spy.

I say 'FBI Special Agent, Fox Mulder'

I dream that one day I will know what lies beyond.

I try to explain the explainable. 

I hope to find truth one day.

I Am Fox Mulder.

haha the description is funny, and you def should have gotten a better grade if you used the argument that the poem was about you and you think you are Fox Mulder. Interesting, I haven't seen the X-Files in years haha

Ah, English teachers. In a way, you could distinguish the vague indication that you are writing about yourself, but most would mistake it for a poem praising Fox Mulder. Well done.

Great poem! I like it. English teachers are so strict when it comes to what the poem is about. I like the lack of form. Randomness is sometimes the best way to go. Thanks for sharing this with me. :)
