And there was night and there was day ~A Story by MarianneSome days assume the cloak of darkest night, when the moonless sky frowns with an ice-cold stare at the merriment of people without a care. My soul's anguish devours their laughter. Past pain, long buried, rises from the shallow ground, seeking life inside a room without a view, and a door locked tight. Some days light up the fragrant air, when I inhale fresh Frangipani blooms, dream of white Magnolia petals, and walk on blue Jacaranda carpets above evergreen earth. The sun stands still, caressing every step I take, while shadows hide from her sight. Gentle music opens the chambers of my heart, every note dances to the rhythm of my enchanted mind. She lives another day. © 2011 MarianneReviews
