Through unseeing eyesA Poem by Faust
Those lovely blue eyes,
They shine brighter than the late night fireflies. Those lovely blue eyes, Are seeking for the truth to cover the lies. Those eyes that sparkle and shine like the riches of the earth, Those eyes that she's had since the day of her birth. Those eyes that bare the wisdom that most don't posess. Those eyes that never see more but always see less. My eyes don't shine. My eyes don't see. My eyes are unfeeling and cold. I don't have the wise eyes of a child. I don't see the truth in those who lie. But I try I try to bring out the truth I try to bring out the good that is in people But I don't have her eyes to see that wrongs can be turned to rights. I don't have her eyes to feel what she knows others feel. I don't have those eyes to feel empathy. But I do have a heart. I have the heart to care and to love. I have the heart to not leave people in the cold. I have the heart to stand by what I believe. But to do so without a fight. I may not have her eyes. But I don't need them to truly see what's there.
