I'm (Not) Okay

Something I wrote at 2 in the morning when my mind was in a pretty dark space

I'm not okay

Much of what I say or do is not right

Obviously people don't need me

Kindness is not something that is sent in my direction

All I ever do is run away

Yet I am still here because I don't want to leave

Sorry, this was kind of dark. Anyway, I've never written an acrostic poem before so I thought I'd give it a try. Thanks for reading <3

An acrostic. At 2.00 am it is relatively easy if you can't sleep to let your mind wander into dark thought territory. Hopefully it is only temporary. Morning often brings perspective.

When I am in a dark place, I am so lacking in creativity! So I'm extra-specially impressed that you wove together a few very imaginative ideas, such as the acrostic (which I love) & the opposing messages between what the acrostic spells out & how you dive in with your first line. This is high-level creativity for turning your pain into art. I really envy you this. I am brain dead in my darkest hours. I'm sorry that you're feeling dark at times, but I don't worry about you too much, since you're such a high-functioning depressive!
