Sadness in you eyes

Sadness in you'r eyes,

keeps me awake.

Wondering how,

for a moment at least.

To make a smile,

light your face.

Eyes cast down,

fearful of the world around.

A guiding hand draws near,

yet you cringe away.

Sad,

life has become one wall of torturous nothing.

No meaning,

except to walk on.

Beauty within,

but no one can see you shine.

For the past holds you back,

embedding deep underneath your skin.

 

Bravery sings deeply within,

fear consumes you at the core.

life,

a pittiful exsitance.

The balance of two,

shattering.

 

You walk on,

a ghost of what once you had been.

Staring blankly,

wanting to be alive.

Fear tormenting,

whispering lie and truths.

 

Blurred lines,

we call out.

Whispers of seduction,

warmth of red.

Darkness your keeper,

light you dread.

 

Tears pour,

your eyes stay dry.

For long ago,

your heart was shred.

With the uncaring words of a friend.
