Slow Down

Slow Down

A Poem by LH Weiss

Disassociation.

It’s a funny feeling

Because it isn’t one.

You can’t prove

The existence of

Something that

Isn’t there,

It’s hard to talk about

My feelings when

feeling doesn’t happen.

I only sense fatigue,

And a mild tingling

That rests in my face.

I can move on

Like a regular person

Would move on.

And that’s the trick.

That’s the catch.

I look normal,

So I must

Feel that way

As well.

I do not.

My arms

Feel limp.

My legs

Don’t go.

I’m unwell.

About
Hi, I’m LH. I pretty much only post chapters of my books (aside from a few rando pieces I might do here and there). I am an appreciator of poetry, or most any forms of writing, for that matter. .. more..
