In a world

I see no future

I can’t imagine

Myself

In ten years.

Not even two. 

If I died 

Today,

My mother

Would be 

Devastated.

She said it herself.

Happened to you,

I would

Recover.”

I’m pretty sure

It’s awfully 

Selfish

To want something

Terrible 

To happen to you.

Just to see

How others would

React. 

Just to see

How much they’d

Care. 

I think of my

Section leader. 

Saf would be

Down a player.

Someone 

Could fill in. 

I think of my

Relatives. 

They’d be 

Missing a 

Family weirdo. 

Unfortunate. 

I think of my

Church. 

They would 

Take such 

Pity 

On mom ‘n dad. 

If anybody 

Finds this, 

I’d have to change

The title.

That’s work

I can avoid. 

If nobody 

Finds this, 

I wrote it

For nothing. 

And that’s 

A darn waste.
