Warrior

Warrior

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

Skipping across the valley of death

The devil tried to bring me down

Hunted me day and night

His army of demons out for my blood

But with the laughter of my heart

He could not lay his filthy hands on me

I came from a world of hate and persecution

Where my kind are mercilessly beheaded

I fought evil and survived the fire of hell

With God by my side, we won once again

My only weapon was my deadly words

On command, they slashed and pierced deeply

I now walk through the dark valley of death

And make it to Eden where peace awaits me

A lovely piece, I think I have walked that valley too!
Can I offer one edit?
My only weapons were my deadly words

I enjoy reading your work

I loved it. We're in a constant fight of good and evil everyday;but by keeping ourselves prayed up and standing on Gods word,we will always reign in victory.
