House instantly enveloped in blue/white light ( inside and outside ) so bright you needed to shade your eyes. Stayed on for 3 maybe 4 minutes. I awakened to the light. Felt eerily uneasy with getting up to see the source. No street lights in this exclusive wealthy enclave. No vehicles outside. No sound whatsoever. Wife in another bedroom finally awakened after 3 or 4 minutes of the light first appearing . Heard her say..."what is that light?" As soon as she got up and turned the door knob the light went out. All power in house died at the same time. We sat curiously dumbfounded on her bed for the next 10 to 15 minutes or so. All power then just blinked back on. We walked down the upstairs hallway to check our children's bedrooms. Our 10 year old daughter was asleep. Same with our 13 year old boy. Our boy was on his side turned away from us. They looked fine. Next morning downstairs while my wife was cooking breakfast, I was reading the morning paper and our daughter was watching cartoons on the TV...we heard a moan. We looked up and saw our son slowly descending the stairs from the upper level. He said drearily ..." Ooohhh...I think I had the worst nosebleed of my life last night." The entire front of his t-shirt was covered in dried bright red blood! His face from the nose down was too. We rushed to attend to him. Soon after I remarked to my wife..."he's never had a nosebleed in his life!" And when we checked on him in his bed earlier at a little after 2:AM, he had no blood on him at all. Ominously we couldn't help sensing the strange light was in some way connected to our son's one and only bloody nose bleed.
