little vinyl deaths

little vinyl deaths

A Poem by DaniElle LaPointe

reflecting
on
your
choice
the gift of Lana
Born To Die
sultry
DUST
sleeve
My chest heaves
vinyl
Evaluated then executed
so superbly by you
battle the innate default
of
reading
too deeply
----------------------
in every
video
for
that
album...........
the guy is killing her
NOT EVEN SOFTLY
SO SO SO
killing her
..............
very appropriate, honeyboots
on
all
levels
especially this:
your
dagger
smile
.....................
I die
a little death
with
every
slash
....................
volume fade to
a static crackle
your name repeats
and f**k I love the damage of that scratch

I feel there is something so beautiful about the scratchy sound which plays on a vinyl.
As a vinyl freak, I love this piece, especially the last line, I also love the format of you're writing (more love to people who break up their poetry like this, babes I do it too!!) in. Overall lovely!!!

i'm more into indie-rock, but i do like a bit of Lana. i also share your fondness for vinyl, that *scratch* just hits a spot i can't name. this poem definitely carried the Pop feeling. full of wild emotions expressed bluntly. i enjoyed this beat.

A good write on vinyl. They were the rage at one point in history. Enjoyed!
