Summer Bird

Summer Bird

A Poem by Kasey Miriam

Feathers fallen to the ground
Left by birds newly grown
sing song notes flutter the air

Summer sun sinks slowly
letting the moon greet the faces
in the warm bright night

Silent as the night sky
the owl flies
to begin his hunt
and to end his night
the bright red sun
kisses the horizion

I like the haunting sense of loss that is portrayed through this piece. I get the feeling that you wrote this when you were either remorseful, angry or sad, because remorseful and sad are the primary emotions in this piece, although anger is the inspiration for many a poem. Good work :)

Very refreshing piece of art. I liked the choice of words. Here, i`ve seen the whole view from sunrise to sunset .. in your short poem. Great job! ;)
