Gears.A Poem by Poe Met EmilyMachines turn the gears into doors, Swinging wide to open up my soul. Come in and walk me home, my one and only. Seat me by a lake of daisies, Caste your eyes my way, Those marvelous scenic roads. Allow me, please, to be examined And twist me into a monster you'll love. Who I am keeps shifting into the rain. If I knew how to dance, I'd place your feet next to mine And save you the best moves. Winding my gears to callobrate your emotions, What is to become of this?
