Reach the moon, And I'll be your Star <3

I just want it to all go away.

All the hurt, and all the pain.

Can I just go, fly away?

Don't feel like looking at my face today-

because right now I don't feel okay.

Whisper softly in my ear,

so only I can hear,

the words you say,

even if they're ones I most fear.

Oh, my dear.

 

I see the stars in you, I see,

something there in between,

lonely laughs,

and should have's,

I'm looking back at all that's happened,

wishing I could remember,

just the good,

and not that bad.

violins they play,

a quiet symphony,

meant for only me,

and all my constant pity-

Oh I can't see,

me.

 

I reach for the moon,

but only catch the air,

I'm constantly fighting,

something that's not there.

Sitting in a blank stare,

I look for you,

but you're nowhere-

and I'm all alone... again.

 

Best to pick the pieces up,

admit that I got stuck,

in another endless rut,

forced upon,

by lies and made up,

stories...

Could you please,

just leave me be?

'Cause, I'm tired of suffocating-

oh, I'm done with waiting,

for you to be who I need.

 

I'm done with settling,

for someone who doesn't want me.

Great poem! I liked how it had a hopeful feel even though the subject wasn't that hopeful to begin with. I found almost no spelling/grammer mistakes, which was a great relief. Well done!
