Brace the floorboards

Life will rock you, oh baby it will.

Hold on to life, for it shakes with aggression.

Never appease the system, for it will always test you. 

Always, I relied on the moment, for the next was a different second.

Never depended on destiny, for that was but a fantasy.

Now brace for the drop! For that s**t will rumble.

Walk with your head high, gazing up for when you stumble.

If your gonna rock the boat, focus on one side and bring the weight.

If life was easy, there would be no use for pain.

These days, they bring hurricanes, and rip at the winds,

so if you don't embrace this moment, it'll pull up from underneath your skin.

damn...are you in the beatnik blues?? O.o...magnificent poem...i dont know where to start! from " hold on to life" to " ...from underneath your skin", i think you just break from all conformity and just put into words whats been rumbling deep down! your poem emanates power!
