I wrote this just before I broke up with an x-girlfriend

Three long years since I’ve seen the light of day

Three long years since I’ve tasted air

Our time is over

I can’t keep steel in front of my eyes

My glass smile is about to break

These past three years were a mistake

 

You keep me tied down all I want to do is fly

You keep my wings clipped I wonder why

A gilded cage just isn’t for me

You already lost me

Three long years is a life time

Don’t want to waist the next one

I’m the type of soul that rambles on

Took the gamble now I’m gone
