about how my life has changed

I use to fall asleep to the sound of moving cars

Now I fall asleep to the sound of a snoring wife

I use to wake to the sound of a barking dog

Now I wake up to the meows of a little Kitty

I use to avoid all my neighbors

Now I converse with them

I used to throw all my trash away in a single bag

Now I separate and recycle

I used to pile my dirty clothes until it was a smelly mountain

Now I use the hamper and wash them regularly

I used to daydream for hours on end

That I still do

Strange how you change as you grow
