Why Me?

This poem was about an event that occurred last year.

I, for one, am tired of dealing
With people and their stupid feelings
It's not my fault if you get hurt
Over my thoughtless, trivial words

We were once the best of friends
Is this how we're going to end?
Some "misunderstandings" on my part
What we need is a heart-to-heart

You want me to apologize
When you had looked me in the eyes
And said I didn't have a clue
What did you think I was going to do?

No matter what I try to say
I know you'll always find a way
To twist my words and make it seem
Like I'm the one who needs to leave

I don't know what your problem is
Tell me so we can solve it
I'd rather not leave on a sour note
Maybe soon we'll make up soon, I hope

Some friends just don't get it sometimes. When you have a problem with someone, tell it to their face and work it out...that's what friends do, and that's how friends thrive. Your message is loud and clear with his one. I can relate! Your musicality could use some tweaking in a couple of places, but this is otherwise fantastic! Well done! Much enjoyed this one.
