But A DreamA Poem by AJNJDreams are liesDreams as
clear as glass On crystal
blue lakes You on the
other side Of a lost forever
daybreak Telling me
the impossible Will always
be beautiful Its colors
will never fade Mislaid memories
as fawns Flutter
awake at dawn Rousing Morpheus’s
curse In a witch’s
tinted mirror Where it’s
all in reverse I run away
from you To stay tethered
to you I lose you
to find you On chessboard
journeys To the middle
of nowhere You on a train
to somewhere That I can
never catch In a hypnotic
rush or dash You roll
away, fleeting as a spell Life, what
is it but a dream?
