So It Has Come To This

For a competition I saw on the site. I thought it was interesting to write for.

So it has come to this;
A hiss
And a swear
A lie
An "I don't care"

It started with a laugh.
A smile,
And a heart,
A hug.
An “I can't get enough"

It had a bit of a temper,
A wrong word.
It gave us December
A hurt
Like we knew it would. 

So it has come to this:
An ache.
A painful scar to hate.
A wish,
You could remember, and I forget, that last kiss.
