So difficult to accept that the one you love could have a sinister side. So many have found this out to their cost once they have married, they find their partner has changed. Violent and controlling behaviour which puts terror in the household. Dreadful place to be and many find themselves in this predicament. Many think it is their own fault. Takes great courage to break away and see things in a new light. A very topical write Angeline. Your lines conjure up many a sad situation.
