Some admire the delicate dance
of fibrous vibrancy on a spring sail
Nurturing the wounded wings
Protective burial of the dead

Others watch like cat and moth
for any open opportunity
Tearing at a single loose thread
Sacrificial slaughter of the lamb

I have to admit that I have far more admiration for the fragile beauty of a butterfly. Would do anything to save one. Some other insects? Maybe one or two others I wouldn't afford so much care. Apply it to the human species, then I would have to be an angel:) . That's where your lines took me AMMD. Very visual poem.

I do write stories and have some in the works observing human nature. Maybe this one would be a good one to expand and explore, although the title is already pulled from a piece of literature. I use a lot of allusions in my poetry and writing. Thank you for the suggestion and great idea. Hoping you have a good day
