The Awakening Sun

The Awakening Sun

A Poem by Aramey

When the dawn flashes across the horizon,
the darkness parts for her to shed her light
as her rays reach over the sand,
a new day has begun, realization, that all is right.

Casting across Poseidon's kingdom,
warming cold waters along her way
as time passes by, undetectable rhythm,
suddenly she stands a top the day.

Untouched, always just out of reach,
held only by the sky, and it is there she lay
the only place she feels safe and complete
but the tides are turning, in the sea these days.

Reflecting her warmth, Ocean's kingdom captures her eye
as she sets for her slumber, ablaze as she passes...
she touches him anew, knowing, the moon's pull on the tide
wondering if the waters, would be what holds her passions.
