After the Storm

After the Storm

A Poem by Aramey

These crumbled walls,
lay out across a sacred city,
as the sands and stone,
once misplace from the wreckage,
dwindle between my fingers,
and make up a new tapestry of time.
It is but a map,
that holds ancient meaning,
whispering of the beginning,
forged from dark ends,
trailing scars; reminiscent,
of endless river's bend.
The tempest has blown it's hell and woe upon me,
yet I am as a mountain, undefeated,
against cruel and apathetic forces,
peering out into no longer fragile grounds,
across these once brittle lands.
I am the guardian, defiant,
of painful and highest demands.
Stand with me, my friend,
watch the rebirth of light,
and how life begins again.

Once again I find myself in delighted to see you so inspired towards a joyous direction. Be what it may, keep the source as close as you can as it does seem to bring out a part of you few others can and quite frankly the world is a better place when you shine so.
