CONFESSION OF A TARNISHED KNIGHT

CONFESSION OF A TARNISHED KNIGHT

A Poem by DONALD EISSLER
"

Having fun being a TARNISHED KNIGHT

"

.

 I am a Tarnished Knight,

Saving maidens in distress.

Cannot save them all

But I do my very best.

.

The keyboard is my steed,

Words are my sword.

I write words of wiz-dumb

So they are never bored.

.

I write all the words

That they cannot do.

I can make a tear drop

Or maybe even two.

.

I can make them smile

Even when they're blue.

That's what a Tarnished Knight

Is really supposed to do.

.

How I got my tarnish

Was from things I used to be.

Banished from my Kingdom

I did have to flee.

.

Once I was a jouster,

In King Arthur’s court.

Never had a jousting stick,

Just a keyboard of some sort.

.

I wrote words of love

And let my passion flow.

Wrote one to Arthur’s wife,

Woops!!! It was time for me to go.

.

So I started writing

To all the damsels in distress.

All my words were loving,

Came from deep within my chest.

.

So, if you’re feeling lonely

Feeling kinda blue,

Tell me what your problem is

I will see what I can do.

.

Only thing I’ll guarantee

Is that I‘ll make you smile.

If you like the words I  say

Come stay with me a while.

.

But if you have a husband,

A boyfriend or you’re gay,

Please don’t let them read,

Not a single word  I say.

.

Now this Knight he lives

In peace and harmony.

Having to move once again

Will be way to much for me

tk

Dear peaceful don, you have covered the gamut of escapees from your charm, Yet this is not the time for surrendeder to your tender charms. You seek, you beath in, You are nor dead so consequently you are still the charmer The forever peaceful, beautiful Tarmished Knight. Charge on Ole Tarmished one
