THE TEMPTER IS A SERPENTA Poem by DONALD EISSLERNumber four in the saga of god vs evil much more to comeTHE TEMPTER IS SERPENT
The tempter he was jealous For he had no Warrior Bride. Tried to figure out How to get her by his side. The sword that She carried Was said to be the word. Without the sword of justice His word would not be heard. The tempter got to thinking Of what he'd done before. Thought about an apple And how to even up the score. He conjured up some evilness. Which he does so very well. Planted another apple tree For one special clientele. Now the apples on the tree Where not grown to kill. Just to make you go to sleep So you lose your own freewill. So he turned into a serpent As slithery as can be. Curled up on a branch Waiting for his bride to be. Now will His Warrior Bride Be lead into temptation Will her faith in the Lord Be now an obfuscation. To be continued © 2011 DONALD EISSLERAuthor's Note
