Masks

This poem has the truth about the mask we wear when we want to hide ourselves in!!!

"We all wear the mask"
The fake smile I put on,
The fake face I put on,
The glasses of seeing life I put on,
The words of a positive thinker I put on,
The clothes of a non failure I put on,
The true self I put away,
The mask I put on,
Truth to be told,
I think I am a failure,
The glasses I wear to cover my screams and cries,
The emotions I squish to hold myself in,
Proving myself as a non failure,
Making others believe what is not true,
And I might not succeed,
People say "I am amazed how positive you are" but they don't know how big of a lie,
How big of a secret I keep in,
I got hurt that's how I wore the mask,
I will go through the pain but never stop wearing the fake mask that has me defined.
