Sea Of Tranquility

Sea Of Tranquility

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Sea Of Tranquility

I look to The Moon
to The Sea of Tranquility,
it reminds me of her eyes
and how I used to live there.

I held her tight
in the deep waters,
she bit my hand
when I got too close;
it was almost symbiotic
if there is such a thing.

But I couldn't quite understand
the way she trembled
when I kissed her skin,
or held her hand
in such a way
to expel her breath,
again unnatural.

There is something I am missing
on the ground which I am standing,
she looks at me so oddly
like she did in the beginning!

So I let her run in wild circles,
and tiptoe slowly
into forests deep,
until she was away from me.

And again it's The Moon
I see her swim,
smiling from her waves
in the Ocean of Storms.

This soul, in the night, gazing up at the moon, and seeing one so adored and a longed for truth.
Yes, dear poet, I know these painful, hollow, never quenched moments of endless agony. Thank you for these beautifully familiar words.
