GiaA Poem by Abigale LeCavalierGia
Applauded for her convictions, she named her children after characters from black and white westerns, the good ones of course.
She sips Rob Roy’s but never eats the cherries, keeping conversation flowing, the blue ones mostly, and absolutely.
good ear to nibble on, honesty, perched on a barstool with uneven legs, yet she never waivers, not one bit.
And the bartenders love her, because she tells it like it is, tipping two bucks for every drink even if it‘s her last.
You can find her there every Saturday night, and she always keeps a stool next to her empty, just for me.
And THAT brings a smile to my face.
Every time.
Not an easy thing to do. © 2010 Abigale LeCavalierFeatured Review
