The Bottom

The Bottom

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

The Bottom

The strain of sobriety,
the glossy look
in my eyes;
reoccurring.

And the plastic
feels like glass.

As I wash down
a few hours of sunshine.

Taking slow, deep, breaths.

Before
the bottom
drops out.

Such is the way of sobriety...
very accurate in your description.
There's no guarantees ...
